FAQ'S
  1. WHAT DOES HOUSING HELP CENTRE OFFER?

We help people by providing a free housing service, a direct link to the private housing market, individual consultation and advocacy, free government publications, Tenant Protection Act and other related brochures, a one-stop housing registry, listings of public, non-profit and co-operative housing, distribution of information on emergency shelters and assisted housing, Share the Warmth Agency.

  2. IS THERE A FEE?

We are a non-profit agency and there is no charge for our services.

  3. DO WE SCREEN LANDLORDS/TENANTS?

We do not act as an agent for any party, we do not screen the tenants and we do not inspect the accommodations being offered. We provide the rental information so the tenant may inspect the unit and decide for him or herself if the unit services their needs. It is the Tenants responsibility to ensure the unit is legal and meets building code regulations.

  4. HOW DO I APPLY FOR SUBSIDY?

Return to our “Home page: click on “Geared to Income Applications”
    Select “Departments”
    Select “Community Services & Housing”

  7. I WAS REFERRED TO YOU BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THAT YOU COULD HELP ME.
